Vichy Gift Set

Vichy is a very generous brand, it always has gifts to offer, but this time I think they have outdone themselves with the gift set. When you buy a Vichy face cream or serum you get a whole box full of stuff which is all nightly wrapped in a box. So what do you get in the box? Well the boxes come with the same gift just the cream or serum that you buy is different, I bought the Normaderm Soin hydratant anti-imperfection global ( the moisturizer for acne prone skin and troubled skin) and the free stuf that I got is 50 ml Vichy thermal spring water, a 30 ml make-up remover which is also good for removing eye make-up, it is a cleansing milk and as a skin toner ( Purete Thermale 3 in one), a 15 ml hydrating creme ( Aqualia Thermal Dynamic Hydration Light Cream) and also two samples, one is Vichy Teint Ideal Iluminating foundation Ideal complexion revealer and the other one is Dercos Technique Energising Shampoo which targets hairloss plus a code to enter a contest to win a voucher at a Vichy Spa. I think that the gifts are very generous especially if you take in consideration that with Vichy a little goes a long way. Why is a very trustworthy brand and they know that there products are good so they almost always give you gifts so that you can decide to buy other products from them. The gift set is available in pharmacies all around Romania, I am not sure of other countries but Vichy is available world wide so they might have the gift sets also in other countries as well, and if not the probably have other gifts that come with there products.

Buzias Romania

There are a lot of beautiful places in Romania, sadly most of them are not that well maintained, but it is still nice to visit them. One of these places is the park in Buzias. What can be better on a hot summer day then to take a walk around the park to cool down a bit. And if you want to swim, well Buzias is known for its mineral water swimming pools. And if you are thirsty you can find a fountain with mineral water, there are several of them around town. The park in Buzias as open hallways build out of wood that go around the park, you almost fell like in a story when you walk around them.
        

Garnier Intensive 7 days hand cream SOS repair review

For those who are interested in buying a good hand cream but do not want to spend a lot of money a good brand to chose from is Garnier. I am not a big fan of cosmetic brands that you can buy in the supermarkets, because I have really sensitive skin, but I find Garnier is a brand that makes really good hand cream, at list it works for my skin. I have tried more of their hand creams, and I find them all to be quite nice, but the one I am currently using is the Intensive 7 days hand cream SOS repair and I am really pleased with it. Because I work with a lot of money and dust and wash my hands very often my hands are very chapped even though I use hand creme frequently. For about a week I have been using the Garnier Intensive 7 days hand cream SOS repair and I must say that has improved my skin a lot. The cream has a nice smell, not very strong, but I find that to be a good thing, I don't like my hand cream to have a strong scent. The price of course is another plus. All in all I find the Intensive 7 days hand cream to be a very good one and I will definitely purchase it again.

Coconut Oil Review

A good and cheap beauty tip is coconut oil. Coconut oil is very good for your hair, applying oil to your hair will help it grow faster and more healthier. It is true that the coconut oil is quite a pain to get out of your hair but if you shampoo 3 times you should be fine. Coconut oil is a very good hair conditioner, if you are out of hair conditioner oil your hair for half an hour before you wash it. Some people like to use coconut oil on there face as a moisturizer or instead of a facial cleanser but I have found that that will break you out over time, so I will not recommend it. Plus coconut oil is good for growing hair so would you really like to use it on your face? You can also use coconut oil in combination with other oils for good hair mask, or you can mix it with honey and vitamins. The smell is also a big plus, I find the smell of coconut amazing, but if you don't like it don't worry it is not very persistent. All in all I find coconut oil to be amazing for hair, but for the skin I would not recommend it.

Herbalife herbal aloe strengthening shampoo review

Recently I have been trying out a new shampoo, it is the herbal aloe strengthening shampoo from Herbalife. I would like to mention that I am not affiliated with Herbalife in any way, I just bought their shampoo and this is my honest opinion on it. Now I must say that I am in love with this shampoo. I even find it to be better for my hair then the ones from Vichy Normaderm, and you know me I am in love with Vichy. Sorry Vichy, but don't worry we still have skincare. The Herbalife shampoo is a very natural shampoo, paraben free and SLS free, which is always nice when it comes to a product. The smell of the shampoo is amazing and it cleans hair very very well without leaving it dry or brittle. The hair remains soft and it does fell clean without being stripped and finally no more dandruff, not the tiniest bit, at list for now will see how it goes over further use. The hair does not get grease fast, it takes a couple of days and it does not become that gross grease but more like I know I should wash my hair but it is not a tragedy if I don't do it today. The tube in which it comes in is very practical, and the amount is ok for the price and quality. All in all I am very satisfied with this shampoo and I can see myself purchasing another bottle.

Sanziene(lady's bedstraw) Flower Crown

Today is Sanzienele in Romania, it is an old tradition that on this day girls make or are given sanziene (lady's bedstraw) flower crowns. Sanzienele are mythical creatures that are said to walk the earth during this day and dance and levitate. It is said if there tradition isn't held than they become evil. On the night of this holiday girls are supposed to sleep with  sanziene (lady's bedstraw) under there pillow and they will dream there future husband. Today was also are national blouse day Ie, and at the festivities held there was also a Sanziene floral crown workshop. And old lady was nice enough to make me a floral crown and let me film her doing it. A friend of mine also made me a crown so I was lucky and got two sanziene floral crowns.

Vichy Normaderm Anti-Age review

To finish off my current skincare routine today I am going to be talking about the Vichy Normaderm Anti-Age face cream. This is my current face moisturizer and is a product that I adore. My all tim favorite is the Vichy Normaderm Tri-Active Anti-Imperfection Hydrating Care but I was curios about this one and I gave it a try. My next tube is still this one because I already purchased it on an offer. Now lets talk about the product, well it is a very good face cream, that clears the skin and offers moisture. About the anti-aging part I am not really sure because my skin is still pretty young, but prevention is better than treatment so it can't hurt. One thing I have learned over the years is that some people who think they have wrinkles they just have really dehydrated skin and as soon as they start regularly moisturizing with something suited for there skin, not an anti-wrinkle or anti-age cream, the wrinkles start fading away.Back to the Normaderm product, I do think this is a very good product for acne prone skin and for people who want to get their oily skin under control without dehydrating it or striping it. You know that I absolutely love Vichy and Normaderm is like it was made from my skin, but don't forget that what works for me might not work for you so try to get a free sample first and try it out.

Vichy Normaderm deep cleansing purifying gel review

Today I am going to be talking about my favorite facial cleanser the Vichy Normaderm deep cleansing purifying gel. Well I do not know if it is exactly my favorite because I do have several that I adore, but it is definitely the one that I always go back to. The Normaderm facial cleanser is supposed to help get rid of acne, help with oil control and make your skin look more even. Does it work? Like a charm. I absolutly love this product for my skin, I also find that it helps with blackheads and I also think that it tighten's my pores a little. Another plus is that it is designed for sensitive skin and is safe for people with allergies, so you don't need to worry when using this product. The smell is amazing, it smells clean and king of reminds me of the smell of grass, I don't know how to describe the smell exactly, but it is very nice. The product is very easy to use because it comes in a bottle with a pump, except the 100 ml version.There is absolutely nothing bad that I can say about this product, it works like a charm for my skin. Although I have nothing but good to say about it do not forget that everybody's skin is different so you may or may not have the same benefits from this product. All in all I think this is a product that I will keep buying until they stop producing it, I just love it so much.

Vichy Normaderm 3 in 1 Cleanser+ Scrub+ Mask review

Exfoliating is a very important part in the routine of somebody who want's to obtain beautiful skin. By exfoliating you get rid of dead skin cells and let the new skin show, and also it helps the skin regenerate at a faster pace. But one must also be careful not to over exfoliate, not to damage the skin, I recommend 2-3 times a week. The exfoliant that I like to use is from my beloved Vichy and it's the Normaderm 3 in 1 Cleanser+ Scrub+ Mask. As it says in the name you can use it as a cleanser as a scrub or as a mask. I use it as a scrub, you can use it as a cleanser because it does not start the exfoliating process immediately, you have to rub a little, so you don't have to be afraid of over exfoliating if you use it as a cleanser. As a mask you put it on your face for10-15 minutes until it dries and then you wash it off. And the way I use it as a scrub is similar to washing your face with it you just have to gently rub your face with it, you can literally see the dead skin cells in your palm when you exfoliate, if you do it the wright way, so it means that the product really does work. I have found that over time it makes brown spots from acne scaring go litter and even removing them over a longer period of time of using this scrub persistently. The product if it is used as a scrub lasts for a very long period of time, because you do not need to use much and the tub is 125 ml. I think that Vichy has done another amazing job with this product and I will continue purchasing it.

  

Bioderma Micelle Solution Review

Micelle water is becoming quite popular these day, and what other water would I talk about if not that from the inventor of the micelle solution. BIODERMA is a very trusted french pharmacy brand that specializes in skincare. The exact water that I have is BIODERMA Sensibio H2O Solution Micellair Peaux Sensibles, it is the pink bottle, the one for sensitive skin. Now what exactly is this micelle water supposed to do? Well it is supposed to remove make-up and dirt from your skin very gentle and effortlessly. Does it work? Like magic! Especially with liquid eye liner, which with other products I find very difficult to remove, and it does not irritate my eyes at all. I do not know how well it works on waterproof make-up because I do not use any but I think that it will do a good job as well. The product is very easy to use you just souk a cotton pad with it and then just wipe your skin with it. For the eyes I recommend letting the cotton pad rest on the eye for a few seconds before wiping the eyes just so you don't need to do that much and let the product do its magic. I do think this is a very good product and I can see where all the rave comes from. It is definitely a product that I would repurchase.

Avene Cleanance Gel review

Another spring water based brand that I have used is Avene. Like Vichy, Avene is a french brand and as you know I love french skincare, I find them to be very good and reliable and are suited for sensitive skin. The cleanser is a water based one, it is very liquidy making the product very easy to squeeze out of the bottle, and the color of the gel is a clear blue one. As you will see in the picture I did went through a whole tube so I have a very clear opinion on the cleanser, I also toke a photo of a sample just so you can see how the gel looks like. The Avene Cleanance Gel is formulated for acne prone skin and is also suited for people that have very sensitive skin. My opinion on this product is that it clears acne, not imediately, but you can see some good results from the first use. I didn't see any change with black heads or white heads on my skin, maybe on other people you can see a difference because as I always say everybody's skin is different. It is a very good cleanser that does a very good job at removing at removing acne over time without drying out your skin, although I have heard that it dries out skin but I didn't have this problem, but you better avoid it if you have dry skin. Avene also offers a lot of free samples when you buy from them so be sure to be on the look out when you can get free stuff when you purchase from them. Will I buy it again, yes as long as it is a good deal because I have other cleansers that I am in love with and are my nr. 1's, but this one comes very close to them, and as you know I love to get free stuff when I buy something so I am going to look on the offers first.

Cool place to have a drink

Hello everybody! If you are passing through Timisoara, Romania or are visiting it a nice place to go for a drink is Aethernative Cafe, located near the center of the city, just a 2 min walk from Uniri square. It is one of the most artsy and most beautiful cafes I know in Timisoara, and it most definitely has the most coolest bathroom of all the cafes I have seen until now. The prices are very good in the cafe and they do offer quite a large variety of beverages. You can even play board games or read books in the cafe, it is all provided. It is quite small, but that makes it appear more cozy. If you decide to visit the cafe I am sure that you will fall in love with it.

Vichy Liftactive Advanced Filler Review

Product of the day is Vichy Liftactive Advanced Filler, which I got as a free sample of 5 ml, which is quite big and lasts a lot. How did I get the sample? Well I signed up for the free sample testing on Vichy's official website in Romania and they sent me through the post office a free sample. It did take a little time to arrive ,probably because so many people signed up, but it did get here safe and sound and ready for me to use. Now the Liftactvie Advanced Filler says that it uses a record concentration of pure retinol +LR2412. The product promises to fill up wrinkles, eve old deep one, and also expression wrinkles and it is suited for all skin types. Now for my opinion on the product. As you might know if you have been reading my blog I am in love with Vichy, I finf there products to be very good and safe to use, but I must say I am not really impressed with this product. To be fair I don't really have a problem with wrinkles, I just have the most finest expression lines that you have all your life when you gesture a lot with your face, and I only applied the creme on those lines. So for somebody that really has wrinkles I think that it will do a good enough job. So if you are young and don't really have a problem with wrinkles my advice is to not spend your money, but if you have a wrinkle problem I think that the product will work, given Vichy's reputation. Also never forget that prevention is more important than healing so do not forget to use moisturizer and sunscreen, properly clean your face and exfoliate on a regular basis. Also good skin comes from the inside as well so try to eat clean, exercise, drink plenty of water and sleep enough. 

Umbrellas over my head

Yesterday I was in Timisoara, Romania, and I took a walk on Alba Iulia Street, a street near the town center. Such a nice walk in the shade of umbrellas, yes umbrellas. Part of the street is covered in umbrellas which provide shade, it was decorated that way during the AccesART festival during 6.06-08.06.2014. The umbrellas are still hanging about over the street. I do not know for how long they are going to be up there but if you are visiting Timisoara be sure to pass through Alba Iulia Street perhaps you will walk under umbrellas.

A nice little place to relax

Today's post is going to be very short, but I am going to include a video that I made today. I was in Timisoara romania and being a hot summer day we went for a drink and a place to get out of the heat. So we decided to go to Scart, it is a house that was transformed into a cafe/bar. You can go sit in the garden on a hammock or a bench or a chair. The whole place is very artsy when you are inside the building and the prices are very cheap. It is a delight to go there.

Lugoj, Romania

Today I am going to talk about my hometown Lugoj. Lugoj is a city in Romania situated in the vest of the country in a county called Timis, which has its name after the river Timis which passes trough Lugoj. Lugoj is also the birth town of  Bella Lugosi, the first Dracula in a movie, he was born and raised in Lugoj which back the was called Lugosi, his real name is Bela Ferenc Dezso Blasko. Lugoj is a small beautiful town with a lot of historical value. The town still has its old charm and although it does not have a lot of sight seeing it's buildings and green places offer a very nice view, and is nice for people who visit to walk around town. Lugoj also has a lot of cafes/bars which are very chic and one of a kind in which it is just a delight to sit and drink tee or whatever you fell like drinking. I  will be doing videos on Lugoj and things to do and see so stay tuned for them. If you are ever in Romania and you pass through Lugoj why not make a stop and go around town, it is worth it.

Vichy Thermal Spa Water review

Another thing that I absolutely love to add to my skincare routine is spray my face with spring water. I use it after I towel dry my face, before I apply face cream and every time I feel that my face needs it. What does spring water do to my face well it immediately calms down my skin in case it is red or irritated or dehydrated. I know for those who haven't tried it it sounds silly but I can tell you that it really works and it leaves your skin looking even. I don't usually wear make-up but a friend of mine uses it everyday before makeup and she says it makes her foundation look more natural. What does the water contain, well 100% Vichy Thermal Spa Water which is rich in minerals. There are many brands that produce such waters, Avene, La Roche-Posay, Ivatherm, Uriage and the list can go on and on, so you have a great variety to chose from. I for one buy which one is on sale, they are kind of the same but as I have mentioned before Vichy and I are a very good match so I am always happy when I get this one. Keep in mind that everyskin is different what is the best fit for me might not be the best fit for you, that being said I have never hard of somebody having problems with a spring water, I think that they do good for every skin. Spring water can also be used if you burn your skin, it gives an immediate calming effect and helps the skin heal, but don't forget to use something specifically for burns afterwards, well if it is not serious or just a bit of sunburn I think that you can get away whit just applying spring water, that is what I do, but it depends on you and your skin, do not neglect burnt skin. All in all I find this to be a very good product which I will continue purchasing.

 

Vichy Capital Soleil review

Since it is summer I thought I should do a sun screen review. The sun screen that I use is Vichy Capitail Soleil SPF50 UVB+UVA Mattifying face fluid dry touch. Well that is a very long name, but it is because Vichy makes sunscreens for different skin types and that is how you know them apart, still quite a long name though. My sunscreen is for combination to oily skin and I must say that it does a great job, my face does not get oily at all when I apply it and not even throughout the day, or when I reapply it. Before I have used the one that was for normal skin and it did make me quite oily, but I got it for free when I bought my face cream, I hope I will get one for free this summer as well, Vichy usually offers a lot of free stuff, which is great. If you want to try it out and are not sure if you are going to like it then try to get a hold of some free samples because they offer them quite a lot, at list in Europe, but depending on your country you have to ask for them or the sales person won't give them to you, with some exceptions, in Romania at least. I think that the sunscreen is very good, it does give me a high protection, I have very fair skin and it burns easily in the sun, sun bathing is a no no for me or else I will get sunburned before I get tanned and my skin will be sour every time after I sun bathe, but with Vichy my face does't burn if I stay out in the sun. To be fair I do not go sun bathing I just go around town or to work or for a walk and I do not expose myself for hours, but I think you would be o.k. I you keep reapplying it, that is what I did with the other one which was not for oily skin and I was fine. The sunscreen like most of the Vichy products comes in a box and the ingredients and instructions are written on it.You can buy Vichy in drugstores or online, the prices may very form where you buy it from or depending on your country, but keep in mind that Vichy is a dermatological brand so its prices are a little bit higher than something that you can find in every shop that has skincare, but for most of the world it is still affordable, for eastern Europe it is quite expensive but that is because we are very poor. All in all I think that Vichy Capital Soleil Mattifying face fluid is a great sunscreen which does everything that it promises, I highly recommend it especially if you have sensitive skin.

Vichy Neogenic Shampoo review

Today I am going to talk about my current shampoo which is Vichy Neogenic Shampoo. As I have mentioned in a previous post I have fine thin hair, which is very sensitive and I have been struggling with hair fall lately due to stress and lack of sleep because I have been working a lot. So I decided to give this shampoo a go. I have almost finished up a bottle so I can give a pretty accurate opinion. The shampoo is meant to go with the Negenic treatment which I did not buy but maybe in the future I will purchase it. The shampoo is meant to make your hair thicker and strengthen it and also make it grow. So watt is my opinion about the shampoo. First of all I do not think that it strengthens hair and it certtanly does not reduce hair fall, but it is not meant to anyways, but what it does it given the hair a lot of volume. It gives the hair the appearance off a thicker hair even do I do not think it thickens it. That is what it does for my hair anyways. Like skin everybody's hair is different so it reacts different to products. About the part that it makes my hair grow I can not say for certain because I also use hair masks for that purpose so there is really no way I can tell on my hair, but my sister also bought a bottle of the shampoo and she says that it did make her hair grow faster, and I have also noticed a difference in her hair length. The shampoo leaves my hair feel very clean without a drying effect to it, and it doesn't make my scalp itchy or create dandruff. The shampoo is parraben free and SLS free, which is nice. The price is quite high but you only have to use the tiniest amount so it lasts for a long time. It is a shampoo that I would repurchase if I will not find something better price quality related, and also I am still on the look for a shampoo that strengthens my hair and helps with hair fall and is not as expensive as Vichy Normaderm Shampoos. Normaderm is the name of the line dedicated to hair from Vichy in which you can find treatments, shampoos, masks and balms. Be sure to check out there whole range before deciding to buy one, so that you can see which one is better for your hair tip, because as I have mentioned they are quite expensive. I think that you won't be disappointed with something from Normaderm because Vichy is quite a reliable brand.

Aloe Propolis Creme review

One of my favorite cremes that I have tried out up to today is Aloe Propolis Creme from Aloe Forever Living Products. I have mentioned this creme in a previous post, and as I have mentioned it is a miracle worker. It is a very nourishing creme with a thick texture which is easy to apply and absorbs nicely into the skin. I like to use it as a night time face creme and also as a hand creme. What I also like to do if I have a wound I apply a very generous amount of creme on it, you can see the creme on top of the wound, and after 2-3 days of doing these the wound is healed. It is a creme that I would probably purchase for the rest of my life, that is if they don't discontinue it. I like the fact that the creme uses natural ingredients, it is always a nice touch to a product. Now let me tell you a little about my skin, I have hypersensitive skin which reacts bad to a lot of products, not only does it look bad when it reacts but it is also sore and itchy. It is very difficult for me to find products, I usually react well to french skincare like Vichy, Avene, La Roche-Posay, just to name a few, which are designed for skin like mine. So because of my very good reaction with this creme I think that it has a very high quality and I also don't get any breakouts from it although I have acne prone skin. I highly recommend this, but you must keep in mind that everybody's skin is different so what works for me might not work for you.

Oral-B 3D White toothbrush review

Today I am going to talk about my Oral-B 3D White toothbrush which I found to be a brilliant invention. It is my first electric toothbrush and do I have it for a while now I knew from the first moment that I wasn't going to go back to a regular toothbrush. I find that an electric toothbrush cleans your teeth better than a normal one and leaves you with that dentist clear felling to your teeth. It has a timer which is great so you know exactly how long to brush your teeth, you also don't use as much toothpaste which is probably a good thing. The toothbrush is super easy to yous and it comes whit all the instructions that you need, it tells you how to clean it, how to charge it, about the timer that buzzes and a lot of other stuff that you may find useful. The batteries last for something around a week when you brush 1-2 times a day, you also are not supposed to use it more often, I sometimes use a regular toothbrush by the side. The only downside that I could find is that you must charge it for 16 hours straight, so if you need to use it in that time have your regular toothbrush waiting for you. All in all I am definitely in love with these product and I will surely buy it again after it breaks, which I hope won't be soon.

Dunster by candle light

If you are in England during winter time another great place to visit would be Dunster, which is a beautiful village and with lots of land marks. The reason why I suggest to visit Dunster during winter, actually near Christmas, is that there is an event called Dunster by candle light. The event is amazing, you are in a midevil town, you have an orchestra playing, a place where you can pet owls, a person that plays with fire, and that is just to mention a few.

Upon visiting Dunster you must keep in mind the fact that you are not aloud to enter by car. The is a huge parking place a few km further where you must leave your car and then you leave by bus. There are regular buses that go to and from Dunster so it will be no buter at all, only if you do alot of shoping there and you have a lot of bags to carry then it probably would be a little bit uncomfortable. Yes there are a lot of shopps in Dunster and they have a huge variety of stuff, from clothes to toys and souvenirs, and of cours they also sell food in Dunster in case you get hungry.
